Back in the 60's, we took the polio vaccine in a 'sugar cube' in school. Now I get it. Thanks Ole for explaining what they were doing. A spoonful of sugar definitely helped the medicine go down. Disgusting. My poor mother had no clue, nor did anyone else. Diabolical.
