Holy s*** Ole just enlightened me to something I had never learned while growing up in the mid Coast area of Maine regarding the huge fire in 1947 holy s***. Acadia National Park has thousands of Acres. And wow I'm just taking all this in... I saw the pictures and the Articles he brought up so now I will investigate more on my own. We never learned about that in school... I was born and raised in Maine so I'm a native Mainiac as we like to call ourselves. LOL and there were a lot of wealthy people who built houses up there in the late 1800s also yes there were a lot of farmers Lobster fisherman people just living the best they could with what they had because we are New England stock we call ourselves we work our asses off to stay alive. Work the land and live to the best of our ability. The selfish son of a b****** putting out the d e W's back then. I knew they had weather manipulation back in the first world war or even before then never thought about the Dews especially affecting how many thousands of Acres and nine towns were burned down I really have to research that holy s*** exclamation.
