The Octopus of Global Control!

By Neenah Payne

The Octopus of Global Control is a 2017 book by Charlie Robinson which has eerie relevance for the events of 2020. Robinson is also the co-author of The Controlled Demolition of the American Empire — an October 2020 book co-authored by Jeff Berwick, the Canadian founder of The Dollar Vigilante and of Anarchapulco, the largest anarchist convention in the world. The book is discussed in the article Controlled Demolition of the American Empire! which links to a video in which Robinson interviews Berwick. The video is a quick and easy way to get an overview of the key points of the book.

Global Control and The Controlled Demolition

The Amazon description reads:

The Octopus of Global Control is a controversial, nonfiction book detailing how those in positions of power are able to manipulate society for their benefit, why they believe that they are entitled to impose their warped world view of reality on mankind, and how we can break free from their grip. The eight tentacles of control that are wrapped around humanity are the Military, Governmental, Covert, Physical, Financial, Media, Spiritual, and Scientific. The book tackles topics such as uncovering the Deep State, false flag terror events, the media’s role in manufacturing wars, the 9/11 deception, the fraud of central banking, our broken education system, the use of religion to shape society, and the corrupted medical industry.

The Octopus of Global Control footnotes these important events by featuring quotes and first-hand observations from over 500 witnesses and participants that were involved in the most important events in our history. Their words add context and help to paint the picture of these historic events by explaining who these people were, what they said, why it matters, and what actually happened. The author, Charlie Robinson, accomplishes the seemingly impossible task of blending the seriousness of these topics, and the respect they deserve, with dark humor, sarcasm and wit, that allow the reader to laugh at the preposterous while grasping the importance of these lessons.

Charlie Robinson was interviewed about the book in September 2020 on the show The Controlled Demolition of the American Empire which points out:

An empire is at its most dangerous when it’s failing. With less and less to lose, it continues to try to do the impossible by doubling down on past mistakes. But history tells us that empires fall from within. If so, technically, how does a modern empire meet its inevitable fate?”

Confessions of an Economic Hitman

The Octopus of Global Control site says:

Charlie Robinson is the author of The Octopus of Global Control, a controversial and humorous book that takes quotes from over 500 witnesses to some of history’s greatest events, and uses them to piece together and expose a century-long plan for world domination.

He had a front-row seat to the fraud and corruption in the mortgage industry during his career in Las Vegas real estate, and he credits John Perkins’ book Confessions of an Economic Hitman as the final piece of the puzzle that helped him to really see how the American government operates as the enforcement arm for multinational companies.”

The New Confessions of an Economic Hit Man is a 2016 book.

The Amazon description says:

Economic hit men are the shock troops of what Perkins calls the corporatocracy, a vast network of corporations, banks, colluding governments, and the rich and powerful people tied to them. If the EHMs can’t maintain the corrupt status quo through nonviolent coercion, the jackal assassins swoop in….As dark as the story gets, this reformed EHM also provides hope. Perkins offers specific actions each of us can take to transform what he calls a failing Death Economy into a Life Economy that provides sustainable abundance for all.

Perkins is the author of a number of books including the 2008 The Secret History of the American Empire: The Truth About Economic Hit Men, Jackals, and How to Change the World.

The Amazon description says:

From the author of the phenomenal New York Times bestseller, Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, comes an exposé of international corruption….Perkins reveals the secret history of events that have created the current American Empire. Perkins exposes a conspiracy of corruption that has fueled instability and anti-Americanism around the globe, with consequences reflected in our daily headlines. Having raised the alarm, Perkins passionately addresses how Americans can work to create a more peaceful and stable world for future generations.”

You Know It’s Coming Down, Don’t You?

Robinson explains that after Jeff Berwick interviewed him about his book on a podcast, he told Robinson, “You know it’s coming down, don’t you?” referring to the American empire. They decided to collaborate on Controlled Demolition of the American Empire which they began in 2018. Since the book forecast many of the events of 2020, they just needed to add in the COVID “plandemic” to finish the book in October this year. The book quickly became #1 in the History and in the Theory of Politics sections on Amazon. After 11 days , the book now has 87 reviews – all with 5 stars!!!

Charlie says in the interview:

We covered a variety of topics and made the comparison between how you would go about taking a building down and how you would go about taking the American empire down. What we’re experiencing right now in the United States is that the end of the American empire is here. And it’s not even so much a debate about whether or not this system is coming down because the pieces have been put into place to take this whole system down. The question really is, is it intentional?

The question is who put the structures in there? Who created this system? Who hollowed out the value of the dollar through inflation? Who destroyed the education system through implementing new measures like Common Core? Who made the decision to spend a trillion dollars a year on a bloated military budget and then go start wars indiscriminately across the globe?

The question is, who is making the decisions to put these structures into place 2 because they’re not serving the people that’s for sure? We’ve become very clear of that. This is no longer America for the people. It’s America for the oligarchy. So who has allowed this to take place? …

We would call it intentionally, the NAFTA agreements, which take all of the industrial capacity out of the United States and export it overseas. So these things, it’s like a car accident that takes 40 years to happen. … the system has nothing else to do but collapse upon itself. And that’s where we are right now. So what we’re trying to do is look back at what decisions were made, who made them and what the plan is moving forward….

I mean, there is a well-worn path between lower Manhattan and Washington, D.C., where they staff the big banks and then the regulatory agencies have people that are supposed to oversee the banks and then they just revolve. They just go from one place to the other. We see that in the medical industry as well.

End of the Petrodollar

Charlie adds:

You have somebody that’s the head of the CDC, like a lady like Julie Gerberding, who is overseeing the CDC vaccine programme and then immediately makes decisions that benefit Merck and then goes and takes a five million dollar a year job running Merck. So we see how these systems work. And, you know, from the casual observer that watches this, we know there’s something wrong. I mean, we get a feeling that there shouldn’t be this cosy relationship between the regulators and the people that are supposed to be regulated.

…we see this crony capitalism and it goes to the core of what is destroying the United States. But it’s not limited to the United States. I mean, we’re not naive to think that this sort of government and business intertwining is limited to the United States. We see it happen all over the place. But the difference is that in the United States we are told to believe that somehow we’re better than that, that it’s all just banana republics that do that and that those countries still have a lot to figure out. But we stand for something bigger. And that, of course, is a gigantic lie. We’re no better than any Third World country or banana republic or whatever, you know, description Donald Trump wants to give them. We are just as bad, maybe even worse, because we pretend to be something that we really are not.

He points out:

We used to be great, but things have happened. You know, after 9/11, we had the sympathy of the entire world. They felt bad for us. And what did we go and do with that? Indiscriminate bombings in Afghanistan, then Iraq because of weapons of mass destruction and then exporting that to Somalia and Libya and Syria. We took all of this goodwill that we had and squandered it for what? … I think George Carlin rightly explained, as you know, they call it the American dream because you have to be asleep to believe it.

Charlie explains that it is the imminent end of the petrodollar that is going to lead to the collapse of the American empire. He says:

The descent is going to be terrible because America has always believed that they’re somehow immune from these sorts of things. And I guess a case can be made that we have been, to a certain extent, propped up by our having the world’s reserve currency and the petrodollar situation that we have. We’ve been able to live well beyond our means, and we didn’t have to pay the price that a lot of countries had to pay in a literal sense, in a figurative sense, for our lifestyle. So when these things become unsustainable, like the infinite printing of the United States dollar, and we get to a point where you’ve got enough countries that no longer want to play our game and they decide they want to sell their oil in exchange for something other than US dollars – maybe they want to sell it for gold.

Well, in the past, that has led to them being invaded by us, i.e. Iraq, when Saddam Hussein wanted to change his relationship with the way he sold oil. And also in Libya, when Gadhafi wanted to switch off the petrodollar and sell his oil in exchange for the gold dinar, you’ll get invaded. This doesn’t go unnoticed by the rest of the world. And I think that this policy of using the US dollar as the carrot or stick for the rest of the world is growing very old for a lot of nations. And I think the end of that is near. And when that comes, Chris Hedges projection of the descent being madness, that’s where we’re going to see things happen overnight. We’ve had riots. We’ve had, you know, social instability here. But when the U.S. dollar is de-pegged as the world’s reserve currency, that’s when you’re gonna see the fireworks really start.

Charlie warns:

The tide has turned and the opinion towards the United States by many foreign countries out there is very different than it was 20 years ago, 30 years ago. People are waking up to the lies….So the question is, why are they doing this? Why are we antagonising Russia? Why are we trying to start proxy wars through Syria? And the answer is, unfortunately, to draw these big countries in to starting a war against us, because when you’ve got a hammer, every problem looks like a nail, right?

So America is all about the military. So we have to put everything in a military context and start wars because if this. This is a catastrophic decision. The biggest problem with America right now – and it’s not the people, let me be clear, I’m talking about the decision makers, the policymakers and the politicians – it’s our arrogance. It’s our belief that somehow we’re above everything….Our arrogance will be our undoing.

Charlie discusses the disastrous effects of globalization on the American economy.

Yeah, it really started with Rockefeller and Kissinger and Nixon opening up those channels through China. And they decided that China would become the manufacturing hub view of the world. And we started the process of exporting all of our industries to China in a quest for cheaper labour and reduced regulations and all these things.

Now, it was sold to us as isn’t this going to be great, you’re going to get all of your products cheaper, which sounds great today to the American population. But the problem is there is a price that we pay for that that we were never told about. And it took many decades for it to play out. But we’re witnessing that right now. And that is our relationship with China. We no longer have our manufacturing capacity. It’s all gone to the Far East. And now we have issues with supply chain management.…

So what we realise – of course, many of us saw this in advance – but the average American realised we’ve created a system that relies a little bit too much on a foreign country for getting us things like medicine, which is almost exclusively manufactured in China and some of the consumer products that we count on….the globalisation component that we were told was going to be such a great win for the United States, it’s not looking so smart these days.

Charlie explains that education is one of the support columns that has been weakened:

The United States used to be thought of as being the leader in education. That is, we are in the mid 20s around the world. Things like Common Core has been introduced into the United States school system by none other than Bill Gates … and Common Core is a disaster. It is an educational time bomb.

Charlie describes how the system will be destroyed:

Debasing the currency is one way. Never ending wars is a sure fire way to do this. But the most important thing that we’re seeing right now is the division of the public – to get everybody fighting with each other. It’s one sure fire way to keep everybody’s attention at each other and not looking up to who is really pulling the strings here.

Charlie discusses the “alarm bells”:

We also have to notice…that there’s a war on whistleblowers. And this is something that happens in all empires that are failing is that the truth tellers become the target of the government. The lies are magnified and anybody telling the truth gets stuffed into a prison cell on trumped up charges. Where have we seen that?

Only with Julian Assange and Chelsea Manning and these people that come forward to expose government corruption and they are rewarded by being put in government prisons. So when you start to see these things, you see a major disparity in the justice system where there seems to be two sets of rules – one for the rich and one for the poor. You know, you’re in a civilisation that is unsustainable. And so we have this in the United States in a way that I cannot even describe.

Get To Higher Ground Now To Save Yourself

Charlie says the US is at the point of no return now:

We’re in a police state right now in the United States….And once again, here we go in the United States chasing an invisible enemy. Before it was terrorism. We’ve got to get the terrorists before they get us. If we don’t go there and get them, then they’re going to come and get us and we’re all going to die. Well, that has played out for about as long as it can – two decades, to be exact. And now we’ve moved on to a new invisible enemy – a virus.

Charlie discusses the choices we have now:

We have a decision to make. Are we going to allow maniac’s in central banks to print fiat currency and trap us in these debts or are we going to look for solutions outside of that? My partner, Jeff Berwick, is involved in cryptocurrencies quite heavily. Will that play a role in it? It might.

Are we going to rid ourselves of the establishment media? Are we going to get to a point where they’re no longer relevant, that we’re starting to change the way we consume information about the world? I’d say that would be a good thing. So things are going to change. They always do. This demolition of the empire is going to catch a lot of people in a bad spot and hurt them. But it’s going to create massive new opportunities for the future going forward. And so how do we respond to this and how we react to these changes and we make adjustments. We see things coming. Are we able to get out of the way?

Charlie concludes with the advice:

We’re telling people to get to higher ground. You’re not going to be able to stop this tsunami. Do what you can. Save yourself. Save your friends. Save your families. Get to higher ground because it’s coming. And I wish we could stop it. But the next best thing to do is to really put the word out, allow people to know that what’s coming is going to be very difficult to stop. Save yourself and start to plan accordingly, because you’re going to have some really interesting opportunities when everything settles down.

Octopus Site’s Favorite Quotes

Charlie’s Octopus site lists several “Favorite Quotes” including the following.

“The real menace of our Republic is the invisible government, which like a giant octopus sprawls its slimy legs over our cities, states, and nation. To depart from mere generalizations, let me say that at the head of this octopus are the Rockefeller–Standard Oil interests and a small group of powerful banking houses generally referred to as the international bankers.

The little coterie of powerful international bankers virtually run the United States government for their own selfish purposes. They practically control both parties, write political platforms, make catspaws of party leaders, use the leading men of private organizations, and resort to every device to place in nomination for high public office only such candidates as will be amenable to the dictates of corrupt big business. These international bankers and Rockefeller–Standard Oil interests control the majority of the newspapers and magazines in this country. They use the columns of these papers to club into submission or drive out of office public officials who refuse to do the bidding of the powerful corrupt cliques which compose the invisible government. It operates under cover of a self-created screen [and] seizes our executive officers, legislative bodies, schools, courts, newspapers and every agency created for the public protection.”— John Francis Hylan, Mayor of New York City, 1922.

“For we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding its sphere of influence–on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific and political operations. Its preparations are concealed, not published. Its mistakes are buried, not headlined. Its dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned, no rumor is printed, no secret is revealed.” ― John F. Kennedy, former President of the United States, April 27, 1961.

“For more than a century ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure – one world if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it.” – David Rockefeller, page 405 in his autobiography Memoirs, 2002.

“Naturally, the common people don’t want war, neither in Russia nor in England nor in America, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in every country.” – Hermann Goering, Minister of Propaganda, Third Reich.

“The United States has entered the ranks of the failed states. One of the most remarkable manifestations of a failed state is that the criminals are all inside the government operating against the people, whereas in a normal state, the criminals are on the outside of the government, operating against it. So, we now have every manifestation of being a failed state, with the government in the hands of a few Wall Street gangsters.” — Paul Craig Roberts, former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury for Economic Policy under President Reagan.

“There exists a shadowy government with its own Air Force, its own Navy, its own fundraising mechanism, and the ability to pursue its own ideas of national interest, free from all checks and balances, and free from the law itself.” -– Daniel K. Inouye, US Senator from Hawaii, giving testimony at the Iran-Contra Hearings, 1986.

“The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power, pure power. What pure power means you will understand presently. We are different from the oligarchies of the past in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites.

The German Nazis and the Russian Communists came very close to us in their methods, but they never had the courage to recognize their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just around the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal.

We are not like that. We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means; it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship. The object of persecution is persecution. The object of torture is torture. The object of power is power. Now you begin to understand me.” ― George Orwell, author, 1984.

“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.” — Joseph Goebbels, Nazi Minister of Propaganda.

“Once a government resorts to terror against its own population to get what it wants, it must keep using terror against its own population to get what it wants. A government that terrorizes its own people can never stop. If such a government ever lets the fear subside and rational thought return to the populace, that government is finished.” ― Michael Rivero, author & radio host.

“If people bring so much courage to this world the world has to kill them to break them, so of course it kills them. The world breaks everyone and afterward many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.” ― Ernest Hemingway, A Farewell to Arms.

“The Federal Reserve banks are one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever seen. There is not a man within the sound of my voice who does not know that this nation is run by the International bankers. Every effort has been made by the Federal Reserve Board to conceal its powers, but the truth is – the Fed has usurped the government. It controls everything here (in Congress) and it controls all our foreign relations. It makes and breaks governments at will.” — Congressman Louis T. McFadden.

“You can sum up what has killed capitalism in four words: too big to fail.” — Gerald Celente, Founder, Trends Journal.

“Behind the ostensible government sits enthroned an invisible government owing no allegiance and acknowledging no responsibility to the people. To destroy this invisible government, to befoul the unholy alliance between corrupt business and corrupt politics is the first task of the statesmanship of the day.” — Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States, Theodore Roosevelt, An Autobiography, 1913.

“The Trilateral Commission is intended to be the vehicle for multinational consolidation of the commercial and banking interests by seizing control of the political government of the United States. The Trilateral Commission represents a skillful, coordinated effort to seize control and consolidate the four centers of power political, monetary, intellectual and ecclesiastical. What the Trilateral Commission intends is to create a worldwide economic power superior to the political governments of the nation-states involved. As managers and creators of the system, they will rule the future.” — U.S. Senator Barry Goldwater, With No Apologies.

“Imagine if the ‘truth’ was a huge jigsaw puzzle, a big box with 20,000 pieces, and it is the truth, the absolute truth. It is a picture of the world as it really is. You come into this world, you get an education, you are handed this box, and the idea is to put all the pieces together. And if you put the pieces together on this huge table it will be the truth about the world that you live in. So you set about to do that. All good. A wonderful thing. Except there is a problem.

It turns out that the government that you are living under has made a decision to interfere with this truth process. It is a political decision, being made for political reasons, to serve the State, almost never the citizens. So the government has taken a whole bunch of those pieces out of your box and has thrown them away, they’re missing. Well, that’s a problem, but it gets worse. They’ve grabbed a bunch of pieces from another box, another puzzle, and thrown them into your box, to your puzzle. And now you have to put this thing together with an idea that what you are going to find is the truth. That is an almost impossible situation, and it is extremely effective to serve the State.” – Stephen Bassett, Executive Director, Paradigm Research Group.

“Politics: the art of using euphemisms, lies, emotionalism, and fear-mongering to dupe average people into accepting, or even demanding, their own enslavement.” — Larken Rose, Author, The Most Dangerous Superstition

“The corporations that profit from permanent war need us to be afraid. Fear stops us from objecting to government spending on a bloated military. Fear means we will not ask unpleasant questions of those in power. Fear permits the government to operate in secret. Fear means we are willing to give up our rights and liberties for promises of security. The imposition of fear ensures that the corporations that wrecked the country cannot be challenged. Fear keeps us penned in like livestock”.― Chris Hedges, The Death of the Liberal Class.

“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed and hence clamorous to be led to safety, by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary. The urge to save humanity is almost always only a false-face for the urge to rule it.” — H.L. Mencken, famous columnist.

“The individual is handicapped by coming face-to-face with a conspiracy so monstrous he cannot believe it exists. The American mind simply has not come to a realization of the evil which has been introduced into our midst. It rejects even the assumption that human creatures could espouse a philosophy which must ultimately destroy all that is good and decent.” — J. Edgar Hoover, first Director, Federal Bureau of Investigation, The Elks Magazine, 1956.
